Cal Poly Entrepreneurs

CPE is Cal Poly’s premier Entrepreneurship Organization whose purpose is to serve the Cal Poly student body as a key resource for learning about and launching Entrepreneurial ventures. 

Meetings

Our Meetings take place every Tuesday night at 6:30p.m. in Building 38, Room 133 on the Cal Poly Campus. We invite successful Entrepreneurs to share their insights and stories, showcase student start-up companies that are making progress at Cal Poly, and give members a platform for networking and collaborating with each other.

Why get involved with CPE?

Cal Poly Students are members of this club because they are interested in finding alternative routes to pursuing a career and new avenues for pursuing their passions. Members gravitate towards CPE because our club is an amazing networking resource that allows students from different majors to get together and form new relationships and possibly, new start-up companies!

Is CPE for a specific major or type of student?

Absolutely not. We make it a point to emphasize the fact that CPE is an interdisciplinary organization, intended to serve all majors and disciplines at Cal Poly. The best ideas stem from people who approach a problem from different perspectives. We used to be a little too business major heavy, but we are really starting to see that change. Over this past year, we have seen greater than half of our membership be comprised of non-business majors.

I don’t have any business ideas and I don’t want to start a company. Can I still benefit from joining?

Yes! You don’t have to have any ideas to gain a lot from CPE. The networks gained and lessons learned from being involved with the club are extremely worth the effort. If you are even just a little interested about Entrepreneurship and Start-up companies, this is the place for you.

Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

One of the best parts of CPE is our connection to our parent organization, the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  Through the CIE, we can connect our members to a wide array of valuable resources needed when working to start a venture. More opportunities are constantly surfacing through the CIE so get involved!
